A History of Innovation
MediVision was established in 1993 by a core group of
experienced marketing and computer and electronics
engineers with extensive experience in medical imaging
and other high-tech fields.
Based on the technical platform, vast experience, and
the accumulated know-how of a highly-trained staff of
engineers from a wide variety of interdisciplinary
disciplines, MediVision develops and manufactures high
resolution digital imaging solutions for ophthalmology
as well as advanced Information Technology central
database solutions and Internet capabilities.
MediVision Medical Imaging Ltd. is traded on the EURO.NM
stock exchange in Belgium (EURO.NM: MEDV). In September
2000, it acquired a majority interest in Ophthalmic
Imaging Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: OISI.OB), a long time
player and a pioneer vendor of digital imaging systems
for various ophthalmic applications. Ophthalmic Imaging
Systems (OIS) is based in Sacramento, California, and is
considered to be the market leader in North America.
As of October 2001 MediVision is acting under a
co-development and co-marketing agreement with Agfa.
Technologies
At the core of MediVision's product line is the
unprecedented synergy of its core know-how:
State-of-the-art imaging systems—based on the latest
Windows 2000/XP operating system and computer
technology. The proprietary real-time processing
hardware and software feature a variety of high
performance CCD cameras with analog and digital image
acquisition capabilities, multiple images display
channels, and real-time image processing and filtering
capabilities.
Advanced software solutions—the unique user-friendly
operating software provides for simplification of the
operation, advanced image processing, as well as
networking and archiving tools. Thus, thanks to the
system's interconnectivity and modularity, Intranet
applications with hospitals is available in addition to
broader Internet applications.
MediVision's ophthalmic line of products provides total
digital solutions for a range of visual products,
significantly enhancing imaging capability and providing
its user with unprecedented diagnostic tools. MediVision
solutions entail Internet communication advantages
facilitating consultation and usage of information even
with remote workstations. The possibility to provide
such a complete digital solution to the ophthalmic
community is unparalleled by any other company in the
market.
Sales
MediVision markets and sells its products in North
America through its American subsidiary, OIS (Ophthalmic
Imaging Systems Inc.), which has a nationwide coverage
of the US with its own sales, marketing, sales support,
and technical-support team.
Marketing and Sales activities in Germany are performed
by CCS-Pawloski, MediVision German subsidiary, and in
Belgium-France by MediVision's Belgian branch.
Beyond the these, international sales and marketing
activities are strategically implemented through a
worldwide network of distributors. All of MediVision's
distributors are carefully selected, trained, and
equipped to provide leading marketing and technical

has more than 70 employees, the majority of which are based in
North America, with research and development based both in
Israel and US.
